Our Dentist Chairs

Visiting the dentist is not something people enjoy, so we strive to make our patients as comfortable as possible.  Our Intego Patient Chairs have been specially designed to be as comfortable as possible, with an ergonomic design and headrest; it’s possible you will be so comfortable you’ll want to have a night’s sleep in the chair!  The chairs can be raised or lowered to suit each individual patient making getting into them and out easy.

Our Children’s Crocodile Chair is also part of this range of excellently designed Patient Chairs, with the added bonus of being a lot of fun for children.

Infection Prevention

Infection prevention is extremely important to us, and all our equipment and treatments are designed to drastically lower the risk of infection.  We go above and beyond all infection control regulations. Our Intego Assistant Element and Water Unit is state of the art and designed to make infection prevention easy and quick. You can be confident that we practice perfect infection prevention.

Treatment Medication

We use medication to help patients relax during dental procedures.

It’s sometimes referred to as “sleep dentistry,” although that’s not entirely accurate. Patients are usually awake, with the exception of those who are under general anesthesia.

The levels of sedation used include:

• Minimal sedation – you are awake but relaxed.
• Moderate sedation (formerly called “conscious sedation”) – you may slur your words when speaking and not remember much of the procedure.
• Deep sedation – you are on the edge of consciousness but can still be awakened.
• General anesthesia – you are completely unconscious.

Side effects from local anesthetics are very rare, and the anesthetic usually lasts for only a couple of hours.
